What I've been up to.......
Lately I've been keeping busy with smaller projects which I will keep posting up day by day... For this project, I actually got the inspiration from my job. For the tip cups at my job we just used regular pepsi cups. When they updated the store furniture and window treatments I was inspired to update our tips cups as well. I was able to find a fabric that matched perfectly with the new window treatments! ENJOY :)

Ayden's Birthday.... FINALLY!!!!
Right after Ayden's birthday I wanted to come home and post up details and pictures of everything but of course nothing went as planned! First, as I went through my pictures I realized that Putting my boyfriend in charge of photography might not have been the best idea, because although there were pictures of the party, there weren't many of the decorations I had worked so hard on (Again my fault; I should've done it on my own but I was too busy running around everywhere. Oh well, better luck next time :(. ) Second, my computer with the pictures decided to just start acting up and giving me a hard time, which made me give up and just go to my other computer! So that is why it has taken me almost a month to post anything on here, I Apologize!
Onto the party!! The theme I chose was sesame street with a main focus of elmo just because Ayden already adores elmo! Unfortunately it did not go exactly as planned (just didn't get to do as much as I had wished. I have learned my lesson.... next time I will not spend as much time on the invites and focus on other stuff!), but I believe everything worked out just fine. So now to the pictures!!! Again sorry for the lack of but if anyone has anymore please send them to me it would be greatly appreciated!!
This is the picture banner I made. There was a picture of Ayden starting from a Newborn and going up to 11 months so the guests were able to see his growth. It was nice especially for the distant family who didn't always get to see him :)
The banner again...
And again... Unfortunately I got three pics of this banner and none of the Happy Birthday one I made :/
Just some of the fruits and drinks :)
Dessert table (starting from right to left) Gum balls in the glass container with a pinwheel I made, behind that is the cupcake stand I also made with cupcake wrappers (made myself). Then the cookies with cookie monster "locked up" :p. Next to that, chocolate covered marshmallows. Behind those were the cake pops designed to look like the sesame street characters but unfortunately it was too hot outside :/ and then skittles with more handmade pinwheels.
Another angle! You can actually see the characters a little better from this view!
Balloon Artist! A big hit with the kids... kept them well occupied.
Favor bags: contained bubbles, chocolate covered marshmallows, goldfish, juice, candy, and cookies.
Ayden in his birthday attire :)
Elmo Jumper
Cake and presents
Yes, he had 2 cakes the one that is being lit I mad as his "minnie cake" just so he could enjoy and destroy. The other I bought gave the lady my idea Told the lady exactly what I wanted, and it came out perfect!
Before.... "Are you sure mom!?" lol
**Oh and forgot to mention both my boyfriend and I wore elmo shirts to fit the theme! Other guests took the same initiative and wore sesame street character shirts as well!
Halfway through... Not even the after!!
Can you tell he had a great time?? Thanks for everyone who came and helped me at making Ayden's first birthday very special I hope you all enjoyed :).
***Things not pictured... As center pieces I had real goldfishes put on each table, the guests had a kick out of trying to figure out the name to elmo's goldfish (to those of you that still haven't figured it out... its Dorothy lol). A banner that read Ayden's first birthday. I will also be making another post specifically for the invites I made, Yes I believe they are that special :p jk... this post is already very long.

I just thought I would share some of my very first projects with all of you since I have nothing new to post as of now. These pictures are of some scrapbook pages I made a couple years ago for a scrapbook I made for Alex of our first years dating. These are just my favorites.

Carrot Cupcakes
My boyfriend, Alex, started a new job; a job that I believe he will be very good at (which I will tell the story of why towards the end of my thoughts). His new job title is a car salesman at Lake Chevrolet. The other day he sold his very first car, I wanted to do something for him that day but because I've been so busy I didn't get the time until last night.... nothing big just a little reminder of how proud I was. His favorite is carrot cake, but since I love making cupcakes so much more and no longer have a cake stand (long story lol) I made carrot cupcakes and a card to go with the cupcakes; just thought I would share. :)
Just as promised I am going to share the story of why I think this is the perfect job for him...
We began dating in high school, and as a lot of you know our biggest fundraisers in high school was selling chocolates, which I despised so much! It would take me forever to sell one box, then Alex came along... Even if a person didn't like the chocolates we were selling Alex would somehow manage to convince them to buy one, don't ask me how, but he would and would sell a box so fast! I would always joke around about how he should get into the business of selling cars or sales in some sort; now look at him today and he loves it!

Testing, testing 1,2.....
Fruit
Favors
Don't cross your legs game
I am new to all of this, so bear with me. This is officially my first blog! My son's first birthday is coming up in 2 1/2 months, I have decided along with his birthday I was going to make a debut of all the crafts I can do and make everything by hand. Since I do not want to spoil all my ideas by showing them on here before, I have decided to hold off and instead show my past projects; mainly started when I found out I was pregnant. So much has happened in the past year, just thinking about it surprises me. Crazy to think that last year I was planning a baby shower and exactly 5 days later gave birth to a son and now I am planning a birthday party for a boy that talks, crawls, and soon will be walking.
